“ENAHNCING LIFESTYLES through COMMUNITY CONNECTEDNESS”
Metro Community Hub specialises in supporting older people to maintain their independence, and stay connected to their community. We believe that forming and maintaining connections to neighbours, friends and the community is important throughout the whole lifespan, so our activities focus on people over 50.
Our group activities keep people mobile and motivated, not isolated and alone, focusing on the social rather than the strenuous. This ensures people make friends, participate regularly, and enjoy themselves - all necessary ingredients to assist people to feel vital and connected.
Further, we support the wider community by offering affordable spaces to meet together, run workshops, training, and meet for other purposes.
Our Hub is supported by volunteers offering people another way to connect with their local community in a meaningful way.
Several of our activities are subsidised by the Commonwealth Government under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (formerly known as HACC) and offer several activities which are very popular.
If you have any questions or would like to know about our full range of activities, please contact us on 07 3391 8122 Monday to Friday 8.30 am - 4.00 pm (you can leave a message on the answering machine), or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

What Our Members Say
I’ve made new friends over the years. I love the outings and exercise class keeps me on my toes. Metro Community Hub would not be the success it is without the Management we have. Thanks to the marvellous staff who go out of their way to keep us happy.
